Catherine Zhang is a Senior Product Manager at Particle, where she focuses on product strategy and development of the Enterprise cloud platform.

Recently, Catherine played a significant role in delivering Particle’s pricing model based on Data Operations. Catherine’s current focus includes IoT monitoring, analytics, and fleet management.

Catherine has a bachelor's degree in economics and communication studies from Northwestern University. In her free time, Catherine enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and volunteering on civic tech projects.

Christian Østergaard Laursen

Managing Partner at MONTEM

Christian Østergaard Laursen is the managing partner of MONTEM - a Danish company that develops intelligent infrastructure for different sectors on municipality and national levels. The company specializes in developing research-based, high resolution and low-power sensor networks for digitizing existing infrastructure. Christian has extensive experience in the development of scalable software and hardware platforms for Internet of Things solutions.

He has a background in Computer Science and Product Development that has formed his passion for working at the intersection of humans and technology. Christian has published articles in the academic journals ACM and IEEE, and has been published by the publishers, Taylor Francis and Springer - with topics ranging from cognitive robotics to shape-changing interfaces.
