Here’s how you can have a Particle-powered workshop experience from anywhere!

I love workshops. They’re super-charged event experiences that give attendees a chance to dive deep with a tool, product, or service. With Particle, they’re also a chance to get hands-on with hardware and experience what makes Particle the largest all-in-one IoT platform around.

Over the past two years, we’ve held Particle-powered workshops at conferences, for startup accelerators, online, and at our own IoT Roadshow events. Developers attending these events tell us they love the content, experience, and a chance to explore the Particle platform through detailed lab exercises.

We have even more workshops lined up for 2020. But, with a developer community over 170,000 strong, we know we’ll never be able to bring a workshop to every city in which our customers are located. That’s why I’m happy to share that we’ve released a complete set of workshops in the Particle docs that you can consume from anywhere!

Introducing the Particle 101 workshop

The latest addition is our Particle 101 workshop, a set of three modules and six hands-on labs designed to take you from zero to sixty with Particle, in less than a day.

To get started, you’ll need the following:

Once you have the hardware in hand, head over to the Particle docs and select the Particle 101 workshop link. There, you’ll find embedded slide presentations and six hands-on labs that will walk you through the ins and outs of the Particle platform.

I’m excited to share this content with you, and hope it accelerates your journey building with Particle! If you’ve completed this workshop or another, share your experience with us in the comments below!

And if our free workshop content has only whet your appetite for more, I’ll be holding an online workshop with Paul DeCarlo from the Microsoft Azure team on November 13th. Sign up now to reserve your spot and join us for a half-day of Particle and Azure IoT exploration!
